Follow Up Boss Alternative: Switch, or Keep It and Add Nadia

Follow Up Boss is a good CRM. Whether you need an alternative depends on what is missing: a home search site, an AI that answers every lead, or one login for everything. Here is an honest comparison, with prices checked against each vendor’s own pages.

Published October 20, 2026

If you are searching for a Follow Up Boss alternative, start with the question that saves the most time: is the CRM the problem, or is it everything around the CRM? Plenty of teams like Follow Up Boss and are frustrated by the tools bolted to it. Others want one system where the website, the follow-up and the paperwork share a login. Those are two different decisions, and this guide treats them that way.

We make Kept in Touch, so read this with that in mind. We have kept the facts about other products to what their own pages say, with the date we checked each one.

What Follow Up Boss does well

Follow Up Boss is a focused CRM. Its pricing page lists three plans: Grow at $69 per user per month, Pro at $499 a month for 10 users, and Platform at $1,000 a month for 30 users, with lower prices on annual billing (Follow Up Boss pricing, checked 2026-10-20). Every plan includes unlimited contacts, lead sources and integrations, and the page counts more than 250 integrations. Pro adds unlimited calling and texting for all users and team inboxes. There is a 14-day free trial and no contract.

Its AI features are built in at no extra charge: smart summaries, suggested tasks, smart messages and predictive lead prioritization. The Follow Up Boss AI page (checked 2026-10-20) describes these as suggestions for the agent: drafted replies and one-click tasks. It does not describe an assistant that texts new leads on its own. Teams that want that usually add a partner. Structurely, for example, has a listed integration that texts and emails leads from Follow Up Boss and writes the conversation to the timeline (Structurely for Follow Up Boss, checked 2026-10-20).

One more fact worth knowing: Zillow Group owns Follow Up Boss. Zillow announced the deal on November 1, 2023, and said Follow Up Boss would keep its brand and keep supporting third-party integration partners (Zillow Group announcement, checked 2026-10-20). Some brokerages see that as a plus: Zillow's Zillow Pro membership, announced July 9, 2026, lets agents invite any contact in their Follow Up Boss database to its My Agent feature (Zillow Pro announcement, checked 2026-10-20). Others would rather keep their client database separate from a home search portal. Either view is reasonable. Know which one is yours.

Two ways to get what you are missing

Kept in Touch is built for both decisions.

Keep Follow Up Boss and add Nadia

If your agents live in Follow Up Boss and the gap is the first reply, keep it. Nadia AI ISA works inside Follow Up Boss. She texts and emails every new lead from your own number within a minute, asks about budget, timeline, area and financing, writes the answers on the lead, and books the showing on the agent's calendar. Nothing about your Follow Up Boss setup changes unless you ask. If a lead asks for a person, she hands off at once with the whole thread. Our AI ISA guide covers what to check in any AI ISA, ours included.

Our Home Search works the same way: leads, saved searches and home views flow into Follow Up Boss. So you can add a branded search site and an AI ISA and change nothing about how your agents work their day.

Switch to the Kept in Touch CRM

If you want one login for the site, the CRM and the follow-up, the Kept in Touch CRM comes with every plan. New leads arrive with a score, a heat level and a next step. A Today brief tells each agent who to call first. Follow-up plans run email, text and task steps, a text waits for consent and for the morning, and a reply or a tour request pauses the plan so a person takes over. Texts go out from numbers registered to your brokerage and land in a team inbox. You can move back to Follow Up Boss any time without losing anything. Follow Up Boss figures are from its pricing page and AI page, checked 2026-10-20. Kept in Touch prices are on our plans page; paying yearly costs ten months.

Read the calling and integrations rows carefully. If your team runs on a dialer, or on a long list of connected tools, Follow Up Boss does more there today. That is a good reason to keep it and add Nadia instead of switching.

How to decide

  1. Write down what is actually broken. Slow first replies, a website buyers do not come back to, or agents who never open the CRM are three different problems with three different fixes.
  2. Count logins, not features. If agents bounce between a site, a CRM, a texting tool, a CMA tool and an e-sign tool, every handoff between them is a place a lead goes cold.
  3. Check who owns the texting number. Texts should go out from numbers registered to your brokerage, only to people who agreed to hear from you. Our TCPA explainer covers why.
  4. Price the whole stack. Add the CRM, the website, the AI follow-up, the CMA tool and the forms tool you would actually pay for, per agent, per year.
  5. Run a real trial. Put your next two weeks of leads through it. Watch how fast they get a reply and whether your agents open it on their phones.

If the CRM is fine and the follow-up is not, add Nadia to Follow Up Boss and leave the rest alone. If you want one place for all of it, start a 30-day trial with no card and connect your leads.
